Description
This canvas is inspired by photos I took in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The quality of light under this hot January sun had a special luminosity probably due to the high elevation. The long-stemmed daisies are in different phases of opening, with many buds waiting to burst open. They reach for the high clouds, their upturned faces soaking up the light.
The sides of this canvas are painted blue and the work is ready to hang with fittings attached.
The painting is 18 x 24 x 0.5 inches or 46 x 61 x 1.5 cm and on stretched canvas.
It is lightly varnished with Damar artists varnish.
A certificate of Authenticity signed by myself accompanies each original.
This painting is dated and signed on the front lower right corner.
