Description
A kingfisher in flight. Kingfishers are one of my favourite birds to paint because of the bright colours, and a bird in flight generally makes more impact than one sitting on a branch. The outstretched wings are fun to paint as you can see the separate feathers.
This is painted on a birch board and I have left the edges of the board unpainted to show the beauty of the wood grain.
