Rest Acrylic

Original acrylic painting ‘Rest’ (80 x 60 cm) blends elements of cubism and surrealism. In it I depicted several human figures nestled within wolf figures. The human figures, with eyes closed, appear peaceful - immersed in a deep rest. Their serene expressions give a sence of vulnerability and stillness. Wolves around the people are guarding their sleep. Surrounding the scene is a border of stylised green foliage, which frames the scene and empathises the organic yet structured harmony between humanity and nature. I wanted this composition to evoke themes of renewal, protection and the connection between rest, grow and the environment.
