Tilted Chaos Squares No. 1, Series 2 Acrylic

A larger piece measuring a metre square. Strong blues, reds and yellows in acrylic. Some black is added for depth of tone and the background white shows through via irregular shapes and gouge marks into the paint. Chaotic brushwork within contrasts with the hard, straight edges of the squares. The tilting of the squares creates a tension and movement throughout. The irregular shapes between the squares combines with the surrounding background white and the flecks of white in the squares to unify the composition. An eye catching and colourful, optical piece - ideal as contemporary decor in home or office.
