Some animals just seem to have a sense of humour about them — and this young giraffe was one of them.

Part of my quirky animal series, this painting was created to make people smile. I loved the tilt of the head, the mischievous glint in the eye, and of course the wonderfully gawky elegance that only a giraffe can have. You can almost imagine this one peering in through your window to say hello.
