Description
All my paintings capture beauty of animal and plant kingdoms. Variety of shapes, sizes and colours always attracted my attention. It is unbelievable how many intrinsic details there are, in every inch of a natural world. As an artist you gradually start to notice these slight changes in tones, values and shapes.
This is a realistic painting of Iguana, painted on watercolor paper. Original painting, made with watercolor and gouache paints. There is a discreet signature in the bottom corner. All my watercolour paintings have my full signature and date at the back.
Some facts:
- Herbivores at Heart: Most iguanas are strict vegetarians, munching on leaves, flowers, and fruit.
- Tail Whip Defense: Their long, muscular tails can deliver a powerful whip to deter predators.
- Third Eye: Iguanas have a parietal eye on top of their head—it's not for seeing, but it detects light and movement from above.
- Color-Changing Skin: Some iguanas shift color slightly with temperature or mood—green to brown, or dull to vibrant.
- Regeneration Power: If threatened, an iguana can drop its tail and regrow it later—a survival trick called autotomy.
Materials used are the highest quality, with best pigments and lightfastness. Both paints and varnish are professional quality. There is a matte finish to the varnished painting.
There is a frame attached, which comes together with plexiglass. Photos are made without plexiglass, to avoid reflecting light. It will be your choice, whether you want to hang the painting with or without plexiglass (however full frame including plexi will be provided). Please remember that this is watercolour painting so if hanged without plexiglass, might get destroyed more easily. I advise to use full frame.
