Description
The long-tailed tit is a bird seen in British gardens, it is easily recognisable with its distinctive blush, black and white colouring and its tail which is bigger than its body. It has a bouncing flight and is most often seen in small, excitable flocks of about 20 birds.
This painting is about the bright alertness of the bird, which is why I have given it an exciting colourful background.
I have used a stretched canvas and painted the edges white. The piece can be hung as it is, or put into a frame if wished.
