Effervescent is a bright and striking painting made by staining very heavy-weight unprimed canvas with high-pigmented gouache and acrylic paints. This is a highly striking and very unusual one-off piece, which is inspired by such Abstract painters as Morris Louis and Helen Frankenthaler, who pioneered soak stain painting. The raw canvas allows the mixes of colour to slowly graduate, which makes for some very satisfying and beautiful graduations in colour and tone.
This painting is finished in a white floating frame, which really sets it off. Supplied with all fixings is strung and ready to hang.
