Artistic background

Welcome to my page. My name is Patrick Rowan and I am a contemporary artist and painter residing in Cheshire, UK.

My work is renown for its bright and energetic colours and its striking nature. My intention is to produce intriguing and colourful pieces with the look and feel of gallery quality.
I work mainly in acrylic, gouache and airbrush on canvas. My inspiration comes from a great many things: my painting is strongly influenced by Modernism, Colour Field painting and Abstract Expressionism. I enjoy allowing my paintings to develop in their own way and on their own terms to develop a sense of 'a life of their own' In many respects when I begin a painting I do not want to imagine the end result rather I find and discover in the working of it.

All of my work is produced using the highest of quality materials, canvas and frames. My work is posted and packaged with the greatest of care so that the client I feel sure will not be disappointed. Thank you.
