This painting began as an abstract piece however as the painting developed I found it had a very strong floral theme. I believe in allowing intuition to come into the work I find then I can allow the picture and its marks to suggest the finished theme and composition.
I love floral painting and I have great respect for the work of the British painter Cedric Morris. I feel this piece has a touch of his sense of colour and delicacy.
This painting has been made with high quality materials and comes framed and ready to hang in a deep, white floating frame which really sets off its strong and vibrant colour and composition.
