It’s the little things that can hurt the most Acrylic

This highly coloured acrylic painting is one of my series in which I explore surrealism by using a naive style of painting: I have chosen this style to reflect the unreal in which genre the surrealistic belongs. Often inspired by the puzzlement of dreams in which scenarios and images are so often not what they seem, this subject has fascinated me since childhood. To reflect childhood dreams in which monsters often feature, choosing to illustrate these paintings using the bright colours and a naive style felt the right choice.

To keep my art as fresh as the day it was finished I use only good quality Windsor and Newton professional grade acrylic paints.
