Bunch Of Roses Mixed Media

A fine art floral still life.
I've used mixed media : watercolor, watersoluble pencil and wax pencils, acrylic, ink on stretched canvas.

I have painted the flowers of this still life with watercolor on canvas. The canvas was covered with layers of special gesso.

This floral artwork is an evocation of the "french grand style decoration". A form of classicism, where somptuous beauty of very ordonate bunch of flowers in vases just add more beauty to the beautiful house and french castles... Beauty added to old history.

The painting is varnished like an oil or acrylic painting. So, the surface is protected.
The edges are painted. The artwork is ready to hang.
