Poppy Anemone Flowers Watercolours

In this botanical watercolour, I set out to capture the delicate vibrancy of poppy anemones. Their petals unfold in varied hues—white, crimson, purple, and blue—balanced by the feathery greens of their foliage. Using light washes, I built up translucency so the blooms would feel alive and luminous.
The defined centers draw the eye inward before it wanders along the flowing stems and leaves. Each flower holds its own character, yet together they form a harmonious composition—a celebration of beauty and the fleeting nature of bloom
This original watercolor painting measures 11.5 x 16.5 inches and is signed on the front. It is presented in a 16 x 20-inch crisp white mount, ready for framing.
