Isn't Identity Something To Do With Magic Acrylic

This painting was inspired by the short film 'Hard Border' by Clare Dwyer Hogg and the powerful performance by actor Stephen Rea.
Peace is a magical thing. Stephen Rea says 'the language woven through negotiations has a mystical thread'.
Identity doesn't have to mean difference. Identity can mean sameness, the same breath, the same body, the same spirit. We are united by our humanness.
Peace is created through negotiation, through recognising that there is no difference.
Nelson Mandela said ' Peace is not just the absence of conflict; peace is the creation of an environment where all can flourish regardless of race, colour, creed, gender, class or any other social markers of difference.'
