Description
I painted this horse face with the nostril end of the nose closer to the viewer so the top of the head is foreshortened. I chose this view to make the painting more interesting and amusing, and this is also why I named the piece "Long Face". I have tried to put intelligence and emotion into the face of the horse through the positioning of the ears and the direct look of the eyes to give the viewer an emotional connection with the horse.
It is a pastel painting on a sanded paper that has been framed behind glass with a light oak-effect frame and an off-white mount.
