'Brighton Wave Study 2'

I have been consistently inspired by the sea since moving to Brighton. I love the colourful waves crashing on the pebbles in contrast to the subtle blues and browns closer to the horizon. This piece was driven by the diagonal movement of the wave and the moment it touches the concrete groyne. There is a wonderful clash of the rich blue of the water against the radiant gold surface of the solid structure.
