Blue Water Landscape N 3 Oil

Blue abstract water landscape n°3, oil on stretched canvas, 60X60 cm (23.6″X23.6″) . Edges 2 cm (0.78″) thick.

I used different colors of blue : turquoise, phtalocyanine red shade and green shade, different ultramarine, with, sometimes, touches of transparent phtalo green (blue shade) to add subtile different tones.

I've prepared the white canvas with a transparent acrylic heavy gel medium, to give slightly texture to the underpainting.

Then, I painted with oils. I worked with palette knife to spread the oil paste paint, and preserve textures.
I applied many oil glazes, with a soft brush. These thin layers of transparent oil colours modify the tones of the oil underlayings and bring great richness and depth to the tones.

The work is not painted in impasto. The pictorial layers are rather thin, despite the textures.

The painting continues on the edges.

This painting will be delivered signed on the front and back, ready to hang, with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity.
