August Day: Tentsmuir Beach Oil

This painting represents the view from Tentsmuir Nature Reserve looking toward St. Andrews. North Fife is an agricultural region and the horizon in this image is dominated by golden fields of grain. Although there was a handful of people on the beach that day, the only evidence of human life in this painting are footsteps in the sand, leading away from the viewer into the sea.
This painting has been executed in oils and coated with one coat of varnish to enhance colour and protect from dust. It is supplied unframed and will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
