Summer Ballooning Oil

This colourful summer sky original oil painting was inspired by photos I took during the summer of 2016. Pretty hot air balloons, including one proudly displaying the Fortnum & Mason logo, drifted gracefully over my home village.

Although the sky was a clear, uninterrupted blue, I added clouds to bring texture and a sense of depth and distance to the composition.

Having once flown in a hot air balloon myself, I remember the feeling vividly—like a bird, suspended in mid-air, attuned to the elements and momentarily disconnected from the world below.

The painting measures 24 x 18 x 0.5 inches. It is created on stretched canvas, lightly varnished for protection.
The sides are painted blue, allowing it to be hung unframed, and picture hanging fittings are already in place.

Each original artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by me.
