The Bothy Mixed Media

If you are familiar with the North West Highlands in Scotland you may have been lucky enough to enjoy the approach walk to Arkle around Loch Stack which finishes at a bothy ….then you start climbing !

Having taken several photos of the bothy set in the autumn grassland I thought it would make an interesting composition . The painting is mixed media , principally acrylic with acrylic ink and oil pastel . I decided to leave the underpainting visible in part to draw the composition together . On acrylic paper 140 lb . It is not framed .
