Description
Gull Rock is a prominent rock formation approximately 300 meters offshore at Trebarwith Strand, a popular beach in Cornwall known for its surfing and rockpooling. The rock, also known as Otterham Rocks, is a key feature of the beach's landscape and was historically used as a landing spot for ships exporting slate from nearby quarries. Painted plein air in oil.
Painted on a gesso primed masonite board, using artist quality Windsor & Newton oil paints, then a coat of varnish to make the colours come alive.
