Description
This painting is part of my Wonderland series and draws on the figure of the White Rabbit, reimagined within an intricate, Escher-like maze. The familiar sense of urgency associated with the character is heightened here, as direction and logic dissolve into a disorienting architectural space.
Rather than illustrating a specific moment, the work explores the psychology of haste, pressure, and perpetual pursuit. The maze becomes both setting and metaphor, suggesting systems that promise direction while producing confusion. Repetition, shifting perspectives, and impossible pathways create a visual tension between movement and stasis.
Balancing precision with unease, the painting reflects on contemporary experiences of time, expectation, and the feeling of being caught within structures that cannot easily be navigated or escaped.
