Shy Lionhead Oil

This painting captures a tender moment inspired by my student’s beloved lionhead goldfish. In a video shared by my student, the little fish charmed me with its shy yet curious behavior—hiding among the rocks to avoid its owner’s gaze, while occasionally peeking out to steal a glance. Its playful struggle between timidity and affection was both amusing and touching, and I sought to bring that gentle personality to life through this artwork.
