As the Dawn is Dawning Oil

There is something very special about the first glimpses of the sun on the horizon when out on the sea. I have spent much of my life in and out of boats and wanted to capture the feeling of the gentle movement of a calm sea at dawn. Soon both the sea and sky will be transformed by the light and colour - this is that short tranquil moment before the explosion of warmth and colour.

This original oil painting is presented ready to hang in a contemporary gallery wrapped style. The fairly smooth painted surface is extended around the outside edges of the deep profile hardwood canvas stretcher. No additional framing is needed.
