Handmade Fused Glass 'Hare & Moon' Picture. Mixed Media

Unique and original: Handmade Fused Glass 'The Hare & The Moon' Picture.

This picture started off as a sheet of transparent fusing glass. The hares' were then painted on using glassline powders. The colours were layered and then scraped through to bring out the individual colours and the texture of the hares' hair.

The eyes are little squares of metalic dichroic glass. The background is a subtle mix of blue and transparent glassline.

This little Hare took two kiln firings to achieve the result I wanted: subtly colourful, realistic, and textural.

Frame measures: 33cm x 33cm x 2.5cm.

Picture measures: 19.7cm x 19.7cm x 6mm.

Hook on reverse to hang.
