Wye Valley View in Winter Oil

An oil painting of a view looking out from Beacon Hill in Monmouthshire Wales over the Wye Valley towards the English hills of Gloucestershire. There is frost on the trees and snow on the ground amongst the dead bracken stems of winter. Only the evergreen trees are green, but I have given a small stand of birch trees black and white trunks and branches with the frost and winter cold. The sky is mostly cloudy with a small piece of blue-sky peeking through and there is a gentle mist in the valley. It is one of my favourite views seen from one of my favourite walks summer or winter.
The piece is framed with a dark-stained ornate wood frame with gold pattern. The picture in the frame measures 37cm x 34cm and the frame is 6cm deep.
