Jetfire Daffodils Oil

This variety of narcissus: Jetfire daffodils are one of my favourite daffodils because I love the orange trumpets against the back-sweeping yellow petals. They grow very well in my garden, and produce floriferous clumps like this.
I have given the yellow daffodils a complementary purple colour in the background to make the yellow sparkle on the canvas. I have continued this dark purple around the edges of the canvas so the piece can be hung on the wall without framing, though it can be placed into a ready-made frame if preferred.
