Artistic background

My artistic journey began at school, where I developed a strong foundation in visual expression and composition. While my path didn’t follow the traditional academic art route, creativity has remained a constant throughout my life. Over the years, painting has become both a discipline and a release — a space to explore emotion, contrast, and meaning beyond words.

My work is intuitive but deliberate. Each piece is built through layers, texture, and tone, allowing the subject to evolve naturally rather than being forced into a rigid outcome. I’m drawn to simplicity with depth — artwork that holds space, invites reflection, and feels honest rather than overworked.

I approach each piece with intent, whether working in monochrome or colour, focusing on balance, atmosphere, and feeling. The aim isn’t perfection; it’s connection. I want the viewer to pause, feel something, and bring their own interpretation to the work.
