Artistic background

Abstract Journeys
After graduating with a fine art degree from the University of the Arts in Norwich I became an art teacher and professional mixed media artist.
I am very drawn to urban archaeology and how time and progress affect townscapes, particularly shoreline industries. In East Anglia there is such a wealth of these beautiful old buildings which tell a story.
Each artwork embodies a dialogue between chaos and order, revealing the Beaty found in both structure and fluidity. I am particularly drawn to the ways in which colour and form can evoke emotions and memory.
Through my practice I aim to explore a sense of connection, encouraging viewers to engage with their own feelings and interpretations. In this way I hope to create a sense of empathy and understanding, where the viewer can find their own narrative within the layers of colour and form .
My work has sold in local and national galleries and worldwide online. Happy to have conversations! Thank you so much for looking.
