Artistic background
I am mostly a self-taught artist, and have been painting since my early 30s (quite a few years ago!) which was a therapy for a job I had little interest in or satisfaction, but it paid the mortgage! Now that I am retired, I paint almost daily, in watercolour, gouache, acrylic and pastels. I have a Facebook page where I post most of my work, including work-in-progress videos. I simply love painting animals, especially dogs - my own being the inspiration that started me painting in the first place, but also enjoy painting landscapes, inspired by Wales and Italy. I have held art workshops and demonstrations, and have had a number of articles published in amateur artist magazine, Leisure Painter.Quote
Some comments made about paintings I have shared on my Facebook page, Anna's Animal Paintings:"It’s a wonderful collection and shows the breadth and scope of your interests and talents. Well done for putting it together"
"Stunning"
"You are amazing with your art Anna"
"Your paintings are so good Anna. Your use of light mid and dark tone really makes it look 3D. Excellent!"
Interests
Apart from my painting, I "enjoy" struggling to play the piano(!) and am currently researching my Welsh and Scottish family history. This keeps me busy!Accepts Commissions?
