From my studio, I painted this as if I were standing right there on the Dorset coast — the air fresh with salt, the horizon ablaze, and the famous arch of Durdle Door silhouetted against a molten sky. Warm amber light spills across the water, shimmering and moving, while the cliffs hold their quiet strength in the fading light. It is both dramatic and tender, like nature exhaling before night arrives.
