This is the quiet moment when everything becomes clear.
Illumination is the third work in my Maria Magdalena Series — a four-part spiritual journey through devotion, initiation, revelation, and embodied love. Where Sacrifice invited surrender and Ascension stepped into initiation, Illumination reveals what becomes visible once we have crossed the threshold.
This painting was created through prayer, meditation, and conscious alignment with Oneness. During its making, I felt guided toward light — not dramatic light, but inner clarity. The kind of knowing that arrives gently and alters how you see the world.
Layers of acrylic were built and softened over months. Textures shaped and refined. Gold leaf was applied as radiance — representing divine wisdom emerging from within.
Illumination is not about external brightness.
It is about the light that rises after transformation.

A Series Rooted in Calling
In 1946, my father gave me the name Maria Magdalena — long before she was widely recognised as a close companion of Jesus, or understood as a high initiated priestess within the Essene tradition.
That name has walked quietly beside me all my life.
This series is my response to it.
Sacrifice is where it began.
