Brown Doc Marten Boots Pastels

An original pastel drawing of Doc Marten boots.

The art is signed by myself and is 24x30cm in size.

I began by sketching the outline of the boots and jeans onto A4 paper.
I then covered the back of the paper with my sketch on, using a sponge and a pastel shade, I then used a pencil to draw round the sketch, which transfers the image onto the pastelmat card, which is where I begin creating the colours.

I use a combination of pan pastels with pastels tools for the background, boots and jeans, then I used pastel pencils and a black charcoal pencil to add the details.

I have left a border surrounding the art so when you handle the card you don’t touch the art, this is particularly useful when you frame. I suggest you frame using a mount so as the art isn’t touching the glass.

Pastels can easily smudge or damage if touched, the art has been fixed but can still be damaged.

Postage: Royal Mail second class, I will cover the front of the art with paper and then place it into a crystal clear sleeve and then post it in a hard backed envelope for extra protection.
