This painting reflects my long-standing fascination with exotic flora. I first fell in love with Bird of Paradise flowers as a child—their otherworldly shapes and bold colours felt almost mythical—and they became part of a wider tropical influence that inspired my desire to travel to far-flung corners of the world.
