Description
An original modern botanical watercolour painting of the Bird of Paradise Flower, capturing the sculptural elegance and vibrant energy of this iconic tropical plant. Two blooms rise and intersect, their flame-like orange and golden bracts contrasted with cool violet-blue accents, creating a dynamic dialogue of colour and form. The elongated leaves are rendered in layered washes of fresh greens and turquoise, with subtle tonal shifts that give a luminous, airy quality and a sense of movement against the white ground.
This painting reflects my long-standing fascination with exotic flora. I first fell in love with Bird of Paradise flowers as a child—their otherworldly shapes and bold colours felt almost mythical—and they became part of a wider tropical influence that inspired my desire to travel to far-flung corners of the world.
My signature appears on the front of the artwork. The original watercolour measures 11.5 x 16.5 inches and is sold mounted in a 16 x 20-inch crisp white mount, ready for framing.
The work is issued with a Certificate of Authenticity, carefully packed in a custom protective box, and promptly dispatched via Royal Mail tracked delivery.
