A field of purple and autumnal gold unfolds in expressive movement, and within it — a single red rose. Not fragile. Not decorative. Present. Grounded. Alive.
Love is the fourth and final painting in my Maria Magdalena Series — a spiritual journey through devotion, initiation, revelation and embodiment. This piece was never planned. I had been struggling with another painting on the canvas. Nothing aligned. And in a moment of surrender to my Higher Power, I painted over it.
What emerged did not feel laboured.
It felt given.
The brush moved freely. Colour deepened. Gold leaf caught the light. And Love simply appeared.
This is not sentimental love.
It is powerful. Centred. Embodied.

A Series Born from Calling
The Maria Magdalena series was born from a deeply personal calling.
In 1946, my father gave me the name Maria Magdalena — long before she was widely recognised as a close companion of Jesus, a spiritual equal, or a high initiated priestess of the Escene tradition. At that time, she was still largely portrayed through misunderstanding and distortion.
As I have grown, painted, and walked my own spiritual path, I began to feel the quiet strength of that name echoing within me. This series is my way of honouring that lineage — not as dogma, but as remembrance.
Sacrifice is the beginning of that remembering.
Love completes the cycle — making it especially meaningful for collectors drawn to spiritual symbolism, feminine strength, and modern heirloom works with depth.
