Description

This original drawing shows the Scottish mountains from the beautiful Isle of Skye. The mountains there are called the Red Cuillins. Two of them are visible in the background. These are Marsco and Glamaig. The short river named Allt na Luibe flows right in front of the artwork.

The Isle of Skye landscape is a realistic drawing.

This is the beautiful Isle of Skye scenery; I admire it immensely, and I will never forget it, even when I am not that lucky to visit the Inner Hebrides island as often as I want.

Last year in May, I was there but was not very lucky. The weather, usually quite great in May, was somewhat difficult. But more difficult was that we needed to hire a car on the island, which, as it turned out, was impossible.

Inverness is the best place to rent a car in the Highlands. Other places like the Isle of Skye, Fort William, Kyle of Lochalsh, or Oban can be somehow tricky.

Materials: paper illustration board, oil-based coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, Derwent Lightfast Pencils, varnish for drawings.
Style: realism influenced by impressionism
Size: 35 x 25 x 0.2 cm; the artwork itself is 32.5 x 22.8 cm; this leads to a clean margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat
This artwork is not framed.
The 2nd image shows how the drawing can look in a frame and hanging on a wall.
