Nature is All Around Us Mixed Media

"Nature is All Around Us" captures the spirit and vibrancy of Costa Rica’s Central Valley as I experienced it during the year I lived there, overlooking its breathtaking vistas. The striking red road, colored by the region’s volcanic soil, carved a lasting impression on me—so much so that I photographed it repeatedly and felt compelled to celebrate it in my art. This painting is a tribute to that unforgettable landscape and my personal connection to it.

A red road curves through green hills and invites you to follow it. In the distance, a sunny meadow with bushes and trees rests partially under the gentle shade of a cloud.

I made this artwork with Derwent Inktense pencils on acid-free Arches paper.
