Rhia Janta-Cooper is a contemporary realism artist who lives in West Yorkshire, UK.

She specialises in inspirational portraits of nature, emphasising the beneficial, soothing, and healing properties of nature-based art.

She paints in classical realism, bringing back the importance of well-considered planning over improvisation. The traditional techniques of academic art, the ability to draw sketches, and exact brushwork are essential in her work. 

Her picturesque artworks are in private collections worldwide, particularly in countries such as the UK, the USA, Australia, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Malta.

Her work has been shown internationally, including selection for the 2026 ArtWorks Together Festival, where Red Road to Skye was displayed alongside works by other artists. In 2025, she was also chosen by the Visual Artists Association as one of the "100 most promising and visionary artists", highlighting the increasing recognition of her unique landscape style.

In my work, I focus on realistic, sometimes semi-abstract, vibrant landscapes reflecting nature and revealing emotions that are often impossible to express in words.

I'm seduced by the beauty and experience a deeper connection with the environment. Within my art, I intend to awaken in others the essence - often unnoticed - of nature's limitless spectrum of light and colour.

Dramatic and contrasting light effects are my inspiration and the sources of my passion for recreating experienced emotions.
