In this new piece, my colourful pencil sketch shows the calm beauty of the River Aire in North Yorkshire.

I made this sketch using acid-free paper and professional coloured pencils.

A bright green hill catches your eye, its grassy texture hinting at early spring. Above it, a few houses and trees stand together.

The river flows along the bottom of the scene, reflecting the blue sky and scattered clouds on its smooth surface.

Bushes and small trees along the riverbank are still bare from the early spring chill. They add detail and a quiet sense of anticipation.

The whole scene feels peaceful and full of atmosphere, capturing nature’s renewal and the gentle colours of the new season.
