River Aire, Yorkshire Acrylic

I recently completed an acrylic painting on Arches heavyweight paper, sized at 41 x 31 cm, with the actual painted area measuring slightly smaller at 40 x 30 cm due to the surrounding white margin. This artwork is planned to be easily matted and framed, and it does not require a glass front.

In this creation, I depicted a tranquil green hill with lovely houses on it, along with several additional homes positioned lower down the hill but still above the gentle flow of the River Aire. The sky above is a bright blue, mirroring the colours in the river below, where bushes and trees firmly establish the scene along its banks. The painting is primarily filled with soothing blue and green tones, accented by cheerful yellow spots representing the houses, which adds warmth and vibrancy to the landscape.
