Sky in Grace Acrylic

“Sky in Grace” is the sixth painting in my Meditations in Light series — a contemplative collection of paintings exploring stillness, atmosphere, and the emotional language of light.
This painting emerged very quietly in the studio. Before I began, the words Receiving without condition kept returning to me, and that feeling slowly became the emotional centre of the work.
Soft lavender greys, muted rose tones, pale luminous whites and distant rolling hills gradually revealed themselves through many intuitive layers of paint. The sweeping movement across the sky began to feel almost like a blessing passing gently through the landscape.
There is a calm openness within this piece — a sense of surrender, trust and spaciousness. The winding river below offers grounding and softness while the sky remains expansive and light-filled.
Painted in acrylic on canvas and framed in a contemporary white tray frame, this original artwork is ready to hang and would suit peaceful interiors, bedrooms, reading spaces, or collectors drawn to atmospheric contemporary landscapes.
