Homage to Lichtenstein 2 – Still Life with Fishgold Collage

This is the second of my ‘Homage’s to Lichtenstein’. Again following on from Lichtenstein’s tradition, I’ve used hard flat, vivid colour and hand painted Benday dots in creating this still life. Strong black outlines support simplified shapes in true Pop Art tradition. Humour is created in the profile and features of the ‘fishgold’ smiling while a sense of time is introduced by fallen flower petals.
