Sky in Surrender Acrylic

Sky in Surrender is part of my ongoing Meditations in Light series — a collection of contemplative landscape paintings inspired by stillness, emotional openness and the transformative quality of light.
The glowing orange sky became the emotional centre of this painting, carrying warmth, softness and a quiet sense of release. The textured foreground evolved intuitively beneath it through layered acrylic, expressive marks and atmospheric colour relationships.
For me, surrender is not about weakness or giving up. It is about trust. Allowing life to unfold with less resistance and greater openness.
Painted slowly from my Dorset studio, this semi-abstract landscape invites calm, spaciousness and reflection into a contemporary interior.
