Description
"Pomegranate and Lilies" marks a personal milestone, created exactly one year after I began working with oil paint. The painting acts as both a celebration and a reflection on that first year of learning and experimentation.
Pomegranates and lilies hold a recurring significance in my work. The pomegranate suggests abundance, interiority, and creative potential, while the lily introduces a more delicate, luminous presence. Together, they form a quiet dialogue between weight and lightness.
Rendered in vivid reds and soft whites, the composition is punctuated by moments of transparency that create depth and allow forms to overlap. This early work captures a point where material, symbolism, and intention began to align more consciously in my practice.
