Description
Iris shades her delicate features from the sun with an umbrella. She walks through a country garden surrounded by cornflowers, lilies, alliums, and agapanthus and of course irises. I created this image from over 2000 used postage stamps containing the no longer available portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II. I enhanced the image with magazine flower photographs and 30 or so dried flower petals. The picture was created on quality canvas. It is not framed and should not be displayed in direct sunlight although all canvases are varnished twice and have a coat of U.V. protection.
