Description
A botanical watercolour of a summer garden flower, painted from life and gathered in quiet moments from my own garden.
These hollyhocks rise like gentle sentinels, their tall stems lifting soft, open faces toward the light. Each bloom carries a hushed resilience — petals layered with blush, rose, and coral tones, weathered yet luminous. Renowned for their strength and endurance, hollyhocks thrive through wind and rain, often reaching over eight feet tall as they stretch skyward. They are time-honoured symbols of abundance and fertility, echoed in the rounded seed pods that promise continuity and return.
The painting bears my signature on the front alongside the flower’s name.
The artwork measures 16 x 11.5 inches and is presented with a 16 x 20-inch crisp white mount card. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
