Flowers and chocolates Oil

In the Soring I was given a bunch of wild flowers. I decided to put them into an antique jug that I use as a vase. It has a most unusual lilac colour. I also placed some gold foil covered Ferro Rocher chocolates and the scene inspired me to paint it, not like a photograph but also the pleasure these lovely objects gave me. It shows the play of light from a partially curtained window. To the left is a bookcase full of books. I used mostly warm colours and light against dark.
