A young girl with her beloved pet…a black cat she had known, nurtured and loved since it was a kitten. I wanted to capture that tender moment of gentleness and deep affection between the lovely young girl and the purring cat abandoning itself to its owner, whom it trusts completely. I enjoyed painting the girl’s beautiful brown hair with streaks of highlight woven in from the light shining on her hair. It is a painting of great tenderness and gentle love that touches our emotions.
