Purple skies gather. Autumnal gold radiates from within.
This is not simply a landscape — it is a threshold.
Ascension is the second work in my Maria Magdalena Series, a four-part spiritual journey through devotion, initiation, illumination and love. Where Sacrifice was surrender, Ascension is awakening.
Born from a life-altering experience inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, this piece carries the memory of stillness inside stone — and the moment life quietly changes direction. Sitting within the sarcophagus in the upper chamber, something shifted within me. Soon after, my marriage ended. In that season of standing alone, my spiritual path truly began.
This painting emerged through prayer, meditation, and a conscious alignment with Oneness. I did not feel alone in its making. I felt guided.
The ascending steps, the illuminated pyramid, the solitary Maria Magdalena — each element speaks of initiation. The courage to enter the unknown. The willingness to rise.

Series Significance
In 1946, my father gave me the name Maria Magdalena — long before she was widely recognised as a close companion of Jesus, or understood as a high initiated priestess within the Essene tradition.
That name has walked quietly beside me all my life.
This series is my response to it.
Sacrifice is where it began.
Ascension may stand alone, yet it forms part of a sacred progression within the Maria Magdalena Series — making it especially meaningful for collectors drawn to spiritual narrative and timeless symbolism.
