WILD FLOWERS Watercolours

These beautiful flowers, blue cornflowers and gypsophila, stand out against the indistinct background. I enjoyed painting this and letting the colours merge on the background before painting more distinct flowers in the foreground. In pure watercolour the white areas are the white of the paper that is conserved in various ways making it more complicated than painting in acrylics or oils where highlights can be added at the end. I like the challenge!! Hope you like the result!
The painting is Winsor and Newton watercolour paints on cold pressed, acid free, 300gsm watercolour paper. Ready for your own choice of mount and frame, the paper is A3 size as detailed below. The original artwork comes with my signature on the front and a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
